Good reasons why you should drink craft beer
It has better ingredients
It's not a question of what ingredients are used, but of their quality. At the end of the day, it's all about water, grains, hops and yeast. The difference is in the quality or freshness of the ingredients. On the other hand, some beers made in large factories may contain additives such as corn syrup or colouring, which you will hardly find in a craft beer.
Offers greater variety
Without a doubt, another of the great advantages of the world of craft beer is the great variety of styles it offers, greater than in the commercial beers. You can find the same in a Stout or seasonal beer as in an amber, an IPA or an Irish Red Ale. When making it, experimentation and searching for new flavours will always be a constant.
It is great for food pairing
As with wine, craft beer offers a wide range of pairings. The range of flavours found in a beer can ideally complement a dish. Try a Porter or Stout to accompany a good cut of meat, a Bohemian Lager for a spicy or seasoned meal, and a Weizenbier to accompany fish. The horizon is vast.
There is a beer for every season
Finally, a great advantage of craft beer production is the tradition of brewing seasonal beers using seasonal ingredients.
Lower Cost
Most craft beers are at least twice as strong as the “beer water” sold by big breweries. So typically, you will need to consume about 4 to 6 watery lager beers in a single drinking season. But if you drink craft beers, you will enjoy the strong high quality taste in a porter, stout, IPA or pale ale. So you will not need to consume more than 3 pints before you are satisfied. This will also reduce the pressure on your bladder and you will make fewer trips to the bathroom.
